Forget The Music – Try An Audiobook
It’s been more than a year since the epidemic brought us endless Zoom meetings and our new digital life. Many people listen to music while working at their desk to help them stay focused. Music can help you focus and pay attention for lengthy periods of time, whether you’re in the office or working from home. However, I’ve discovered a new passion for audiobooks. While working on something else, not everyone can listen to an audiobook. Now, I’ll admit that I’m biased. If you are looking for free options try LibriVox. It is a great tool to discover free audiobooks. LibriVox is run by a group of volunteers who record public domain material, creating free public domain audiobooks. If you are a science fiction lover, like me, I recommend the following:
- The Foundation Series
- The City At World’s End
- Atom Drive
Now, for a more varied selection, I recommend Audible. It is without a doubt one of the most useful tools available. Check out Coyote Horizons, by Allen Steele. The Coyote series is another fantastic science fiction series that I highly recommend. I still hope some are made into a television series one day. Yes, I’m talking to you, Amazon Prime or Netflix. Some links to Allen Steele’s books are below. I truly love this series.

You may not have time for an all-inclusive vacation or all of life's comforts, but that doesn't mean you can't prioritize your health. Do not let stress take hold, remember you can't pour water from an empty cup. Keep connected and take care of yourself first my friend.
