Give Yourself Time To Unplug
Hello Helpdesk Friend! Remember to take time for yourself and unplug. Is your brain always on, are you always working, also something that needs to be done? It’s easy to fall into the “always working” trap. You never take time for yourself, or give your mind time to unplug from it all. The work-from-home revolution has caused a lot of workers, in the I.T field, to run “always on”. When you work from home, it’s easy to get caught up in your work and forget about everything else. That can be beneficial in some situations, such as when you have a tight deadline to meet. But what happens when you never get a chance to unplug?
Don’t Burnout
In the long run, overworking leads to burnout, tiredness, and health issues. Save yourself the detour down the destructive path by allowing yourself to take a break for decent and proper self-care every now and again. Don’t get to the burnout phase; it’s not a pretty place. Go outside, plant a garden, have a good time, enjoy life, and reconnect with nature by focusing on something other than your computer support desk. Recharge your internal batteries on a regular basis. You’ll need it, believe me. Take care of your well-being my friends.
Connect
You may not have time for an all-inclusive vacation or all of life's comforts, but that doesn't mean you can't prioritize your health. Do not let stress take hold, remember you can't pour water from an empty cup. Keep connected and take care of yourself first my friend.
