Snacks For the Desk
Having nutritious office snacks on hand is essential for remaining nourished and focused when you need it the most. It’s so easy to choose something unhealthy to satisfy a want or impulse. They’ll keep your energy up and your blood sugar constant during an afternoon slump, whether you’re in the thick of a huge project or bound to your desk with an impending deadline.
When you’re working during the day, you know how important it is to have healthy snack options on hand to keep you going. A healthy snack in the middle of the day or in the afternoon can give you the boost you need to stay focused until it’s time to go home. But what are some of the healthy snack’s options? Here are some of my top options.
Try Oatmeal – When I want to keep full, I go for the fiber.
Veggies with Humus – It may be a bit of work but I’ve found veggies are the best foods to munch on throughout day.
Whole Almonds – The simplest snack you can keep at your desk is a mix of almonds and dates.
Greek Yogurt and Berries / Strawberries – Greek yogurt is a protein and don’t forget the antioxidant benefit.
Smoothie – A great option anytime I want to boost my energy levels.
When working from home, or the office, food can affect your mood, mental attentiveness, memory, and emotional well-being. There’s no denying that what we eat and how much we consume has a direct impact on our physical health. Take care of yourself my friends!
You may not have time for an all-inclusive vacation or all of life's comforts, but that doesn't mean you can't prioritize your health. Do not let stress take hold, remember you can't pour water from an empty cup. Keep connected and take care of yourself first my friend.
